can you bypass the computer with a e4od

is there anyway to bypass the computer with a e4od to get the truck to move. i cant get the tranny to ingauge all the way. i would like to be able to rule out if its the computer and if i could bypass it and get the truck to move that would tell me alot...
i have a 302 e40d 4x4 92 bronco

can you bypass the computer with a e4od

I think if you disconnect the wiring harness you should have 2nd and 4th gear only. Try running a code scanner to find out what's wrong.
