Cool Brake Problem?

On first application pedal goes almost to floor but brakes still work. Pump once and pedal comes right up. Tried bleeding and didn't help?
All new brakes all around. Disc on front drum on back:
Any ideas?
Thanks

Are the rear brakes adjusted correctly. Tighten them up so you have a healthy drag when turning tire by hand.

Have someone pump up the brakes while you watch the rubber hoses. They will flex a little, but if they are bad, they will flex a lot or bulge.

Adjustment is a very good idea.... if you have a solid pedal (not spongy) with that one pump. Do you have a firm pedal?

Egotrip, It doesn't look like you even read his post... To help you understand, I highlighted the part you completely missed....

I'd check the brake booster & the vacuum line to it, as well. If it is not functioning, you revert to manual brakes- which is what it sounds like has happened...

Sounds more like air in the MC or somewhere in the line that isn't fully bled out.

My sons friend just had the same problem on his mustang. Come to find out, he and my son had been bleeding from the hose where it connects at the caliper instead of using the bleeder valve. They were afraid they would break the bleeder so they thought they could cheat. I worked it loose for them and all it took was 2 pumps to get the air out.

Still air trapped in the system. When you bled it, did you start from the right rear?
