A 2nd gen 6.7 was not in my budget. So, a 7.3 was what I decided on getting. This is my first diesel truck, but I get to drive a 2015 Duramax on a regular basis. The power and delivery of the newer truck is solid, but in the end I prefer my 7.3. Now, if and when it is time to upgrade after I win the lottery in the near future, a 2nd gen 6.7 Ford or Cummins will be the only two options I will be looking at.
