I'm thinking of trying that Ultra One Safest Rust Remover in some tight areas to see how it works. My buddy used it on his jeep and swears by it. I know the Ultra One cleaners work pretty darn good.

Started on one end and worked my way around. When I got the the beginning(30-45 min) I started on the second coat.

Then cleaned gun and started painting the top coat while the POR was still wet/tacky.

Yes, that was silver/white truck and the Same process with results for the F550 I restored 2 years prior..

I checked out the 550 thread. You painted that with the axles in place and got complete coverage? My hat is off to you sir, that takes some talent.
Very impressive. I always seem to miss something somewhere and don't notice until 2 weeks later.

With my white/silver truck I did it with the cab still on and the engine/trans in place. It is a frame, LAY the paint on. A run is not going to hurt anything

Yea it's one thing to say what's right and what's not, it's another to have an example that's years old of something that's actually used.

POR-15 is great, but I think KBS Coatings makes some even better kits.

This is their top of the line kit All-In-One Chassis Paint Kit - KBS All-In-One Chassis Kit - Frame Painting Kit KBS Coatings

Pricey, but good stuff. Plus, what's another $50 when you consider how much work you're going to be doing. Might as well do it right.
