Buckzooka hung in automatic mode
Truck has just under 210k miles.
I have not been able to see for a while at night. The Hpop was leaking out the rear seal with the snap ring. The ICP connector had oil in it. The starter was dragging. So, i fired off a shot with the buckzooka and thought we should be in pretty good shape. The box with yellow tape came and I went out to address my issues.
I started with swapping the headlights out to 07 design with recon bulbs. I did that as a source of inspiration as to what was to come. No problems all went as Ken said it would in his writeup.
. I still have to adjust them.Crawled up in the engine bay and swapped the icp sensor.. Two things down at this point. Looked down to disconnect the EBP sensor and saw the belt tensioner hanging at an odd angle. A quick feel and the little spring is dangling below. Got lucky on that one. Called the irish store and they had this kit.

So I picked it up and layed it over to the side. The hoses are original and I have always had good luck with Gates in lieu of OEM. Plus, i still have the thru the belt upper hose so that will solve that issue. When i pulled the upper hose and looked in it. I decided I should go ahead and do the coolant flush/elc install. Now I need a thermostat or at least gaskets. Guess it will be a stant as that is all anyone has that I have ever heard of. While I was flushing the nastiness out, I was wishing I had gotten lower radiator hose. Later on, I realized its in the kit so all is good. Still need to finish flushing when it runs again.
Had the OEM 3-bolt Mitusbishi Starter gone through and it cranked good before I pulled fuel bowl and hpop off. That went well. UPS should pick up the pump tomorrow to go to Terminator. While that is gone, I have plenum inserts/boots/t clamps to install, fuel bowl to rebuild, and IPR to clean/reseal.
The only thing that went wrong was I broke my new GPR
. Not sure how but one of the little posts snapped out before I got the lock ring compressed. I did get the LED mod installed though so I guess that's something. When I leave for work Monday, I will be gone two weeks so it should be enough time for the pump to cross the country and come back. Hopefully it will run when reassembled.
IF all that comes together, it will be time to deal with seat and clean it up. May look for new grille.
On the ride to get the belt kit and pick up the starter in my Crown Vic 'Kilroy", i realized Kilroy needs balljoints. SO there is something else to tide me over.
So... did you name yours yet? I call mine "Snots".
It's perpetually projecting green stuff out the proboscis - like it has a head cold.

Through my own slackness, i just got my truck back running. I took the HPOP off the weekend before easter and sent it off. I went to work the following Monday and returned home 2 weeks later. My T500 was waiting on me when i got here. I also returned home with rotator cuff issues. Did nothing Friday and most of today but finally decided at 7:30 pm I wanted to drive the truck.
Put the T500 on. Filled the reservoir and switched the key on 4x. I spun the eng one quick turn and then the next turn it fired off. No sputter, no skip. Just cranked. I let it run for about 30 mins at idle while I cleaned up tools and stuff. I drove it 30 miles is all tonight. I noticed two things right off. It runs quieter and it does not require as much pedal to get to the same place.
I bought 95% of the parts thru riffraff, the gates kit with tensioner, hoses & belt thru Oreillys, and the coolant filter kit thru Sinister. Everyone's service for all of it was awesome. When I did my part and sent the hpop off, I got it back in just a few days.Very fast since it has to cross the entire country (Ga to CA), get rebuilt, and then cross the country again.
I still have to do the coolant filter kit and the plenum hoses. Shoulder was bothering me by the time I finished. I may try to do the coolant kit tomorrow if it rain holds off.
