Radiator Puked

Went out in the driveway today and found a nice puddle of antifreeze leaking from the lower rad hose. Ran to the hardware store and got some hose clamps. Came back and squeezed the OEM clamp to take it off and it broke right in half. Crappy part is that the back of the clamp was actually fused into the rubber of the rad hose. Needless to say when I pulled it off it took a piece of the rubber with it. I was able to get two hose clamps around it, filled it back up and ran the motor. So far so good. Lost two gallons of the gold stuff and froze my A*****SSSS off. I guess I should take it in and tell them I want a new lower hose but I hate to take it to naybody else to work on. We'll see. You guys were right 'bout these hose clamps. Now I'm worried about the rest of them......same cheeze crap on all the rad hoses. Maybe I'll change all of 'em.

This seems to explain the slightly low coolant reservoir you talked about previously.I guess I'll have to check mine.
It's good that it happened while you were at home.
Thanks for the post.
