I run Motorcraft syn. blend with Motorcraft or puralater filter. Had 195,000 miles on my old Escape and 145,000 on my Focus change oil every 5000 miles.

I use Pennzoil Platinum Pure, Ever since I read that the cylinder distortion issues in the 5.0 were probably caused by excessive heat I decided to go with full syn. Plus I can then go by the oil change indicator with confidence, instead of every 5k .
