Hi I have a 97 ford f150 v6 2wheel drive. I was driving to work when l heard rattling in the engine like something came loose when I stopped to check my transmission fluid was pouring out drained out in 2mins tops. Can someone help and let me know what you think it could be?

might just be a rusted cooling line. Where was it leaking from, under the engine or the trans?
It was definitely transmission fluid. Didn't mean it was coming from the engine but under the engine. The liquid was red color.
Then it's got to be the trans cooler lines that run to the radiator. Then tend to rust through. Easiest fix is to cut out the part that is leaking and splice in a rubber hose.
But the question is going to be what was the noise you heard and how much damage was done if you were running low of trans fluid.
