ELECTRICAL QUESTION
2003 F150. 2 electrical ports behind small door under dash and 1 in the back. Why can't the 2 cigarette lighter ports be used for cell phone charging etc?

Charging ports
According to the local Ford dealer they are designed that way, not to be interchangeable. Thought maybe someone here on the forum knows how to beat the "system" without pulling the lighter ones and replacing them. Maybe I just carry too many things that need charging.
