Yes this is something that's just not going to go away. He became liable once he took it upon himself to change out the tires that had already had been certified by the Inspection company. Its pretty dumb by all means because before he changed the tires he was off the hook for any liability. It was all on My Wife and I and the Inspection company.
That is a good looking truck. They are not a factory dealership, your only option is to go afterthem at the state level. Send everything certified. Include copies of all reciepts, consult a lawyer!
I don't think we're allowed to chatter much out litigious matters here. Mods please clarify.
I can say I've dealt with the NV Bureau of Consumer Affairs in the past, and found them to be more helpful than I expected.
With that being said, I'm still surprised the crap tires blew out on the back,. The rear of an unloaded X isn't ridiculously heavy. What was the load range spec, and did you check pressures?
They are BF Goodrich Rugged Terrains that came on these trucks after the Firestone recall back in 2001-2002. Ford then switch to BF Goodrich for their AT tire on 4wd trucks and Pirelli Scorpion tires for 2wd trucks.
They need called out on their facebook page. Social media is only a business asset if you treat customers right. Treat them wrong and you deserve the instant press that will generate these days.
We should post an add in Boris's name saying bad things about the dealership in NV. They call him and chaos and confusion ensue.
My name is Boris and I bought vehicle for family from dealership. Vehicle broke down on test drive but was told was normal and they towed back to lot. They took hundred dollar off price and gave me 6 month guarantee but when I try to call he just laugh now. Is bad man, do not buy. Also he tried kiss me but I say no I married. He say "I don't care, I like hot men like you Boris. You make me feel like a sexy George Bush Sr."
Do you still have the bad tires ?? I do not think you are showing the correct D.O.T. #s. You need to look at the other D.O.T. #s on the other side of the tire. It will be only 4 #s in an embossed raised circle. The 1st 2 #s are the week & the 2nd 2 are the year. I still don't know what the DOT #s you are showing are BUT they do it that way on all tires.

I'm sure the shop kept them, but if you'll post the shops info I'll call them today and see if they still have them and would be willing to get them out of their pile. They should still have them and they would be of great use in court
Wow guys..lol.. Yes the shop still has the tires they stated they will hold them as long as necessary. Its The "Best Tire" in Kingman,AZ..The tires in the pics on the website is not the tires that blew he changed the tires after getting inspected and certified. He put Futura 265/75/16. I did check the pressure and they were at 70 but did not check the load range. I have more pics before the tire blew let me check them...
If those shots were at operating temp, your coolant temp is low, and your EOT/ECT delta is a little high, indicating inefficient heat transfer across the oil cooler. You'd want to get the coolant temp issue resolved first, and then check the numbers again. Charging system voltage is a little low, but not atypical of factory alternator performance. In general, from what's shown, nothing looks too bad.
