Their hoses are designed to fail, even they know this, that's why they offer a lifetime warranty on the hose in the kit.

Between the hose material and the fittings they used, it's only a matter of time before you spring a leak or in my case 3 leaks....

This is just one leak, there were two more. This was the fitting that went between the radiator and degas bottle:

The other one was at the other end of the same hose and the other leak was at the heater hose.

This is why I always say buy the Dieselsite Kit

No problem at all!

I learn a hard lesson and do my best to prevent others from making the same mistake.

I have had my Sinister coolant filter since 2011 and have not had any issues what so ever.

If you already have one and it is ready to go on truck then I would say go ahead and install it.

So here is my question. You are 80 miles out of LV (~1 hr) when the first blow out happens. You already have the conversation in the back of your mind about the dealer changing tires, why would you keep driving? Why not just turn around and go back to insist a change?

I'm glad you are safe, but you are now 2000 miles a way in distance and a million miles away from them giving a poop about you. I can only assume you dropped some good money on that truck, and now it has $4000 worth of damage you have entice them to pay for.

You more than likely had a 48 hr (unadvertised) return policy which most states provide for consumer protection.

I just look at the time it would have taken to fix this on then vs. now.

Please post pics because I'm interested to see the damage to the wheel wells. I'm a 7.3 guy so I can't provide any help on the 6.0, but I do wish I got 18.3 MPG running 80 mph down the road!

Hey Guys sorry I have been busy here at work. I m trying to get these pics uploaded and for some reason I guess I'm not getting it. The Dealers name Is Kapitolia' auto llc. I don't think they were a buy here pay here but once we got to their office on Cameron well it was a little shady compared to their website. So I was snooping around the truck last night and seen the EGR has been deleted. The Engine compartment is really clean.. I'm pretty sure it has had some type of spring upgrade in the back as it rakes pretty good. The turbo is singing a very nice tune :-)..I don't know how to tell if it has a tune on it.. or if the FICM has been replaced. Jesser.. That probably would have been the smart thing to do. But My "emotions" was pretty high and after just experiencing almost flipping the Excursion I was probably was not thinking in my right mind. I was closer to Kingman or so I thought. Let me try this pic thing again...

That big hole is there in the pics from the dealers website in the ad. The spare tire on the left rear is the same in the pics also. The closeup photo of the tire tread they have shows no dry rot and is probably that spare. Either way, they never should have let that leave their lot and I hope you are reporting them to the state of Nevada who licenses them to sell used cars.

The close up of the spare is my new tire. Yes the pics he had online has the spare on it also. Yes the left hole in the molding was noted also. The inner sides are busted as well liners are gone, A/c lines are damaged. The tires as you see are fututra tires from pepboys and you see the dates codes and are not the same pics that was on the truck in the dealers pics nor the pics I receive from the pre-purchase inspection company. $5118.78 is the total of damages and new tires.

I would seriously go after them. They misrepresented the Excursion. Thankfully you are OK.
