the truck has a fe in it (stroke to be measured later today) block #s small k and a large V up behind the oil filter adapter.. heads on this block reads c6te-c
bought a 360 from the boneyard as a back up.. has block tag and rebuild tag.. (stroke to be measured also).. block number a small 1e24 and a large W up behind the oil filter adapter.. heads are c7ae-a
plans are to swap in a 75-79 dics brake and power steering front end, and rebuild a fe (probly the 360) w/offy intake, edelbrock carb, headers, rv cam, diaghram clutch, and some chrome.. repaint moms pacific blue and white and replace some missing chrome.. fix dealer ac, 16" wheels w/trim rings and hub caps.. bronco rear bumper, dual 2 1/2" exhaust and replace the grill. (if I can find a nice one)
I have a show polished 66 grille (polished by Robert, a member here). with the polished headlight trim as well.
I bought the grille and then ended up buying a polished 65 grille from Robert. So now I have a 66 available. Better than reproduction since this is an original polished grille.
I want $600, plus shipping. That is a steal. Let me know if you need pictures, etc. It looks amazing.

thanks for the info fellas.. especially number dummy. I was hoping you'd. help out with the vin.. apologizes about the fleetside/styleside slip.. I own and love fords but am stuck working on all makes and models to fund my projects.. some times the vocabulary bleeds into other conversations.. but I bleed blue oval.. will keep the grill info in my note book but currently is out of budget till the truck progresses.. looks like the 71 360 will be rebuilt for the install cause the 352 has internal damage. hoping for the 2 piston front end and the older p.s. setups.. was aware of the diffrences as I own and work on 70s fords quite regularly, but appreciate the reminder.
UPDATE UPDATE...... looks like the 360 isn't a 360 after all.. its a 428 with 390gt heads....holy c*&p batman.. is this something I should keep for myself or should I stick it in the truck with that np435 behind it.... it has the block reinforcement ribs and the external harmonic balancer/weighted flywheel setup.. I pulled one head and intake to measure bore.. its on spec for a .30 over 428 (4.159).. and stroke checks too (4").. did I just find a holly grail or is this just a common toss off.. I've only owned 2 fe motors before this and both were true 390s. I know the 428 was fazed out in early 71 and my block #s come back as a 71 with 67 heads. so is this a reworked 390 or a left over gotta get it gone ford factory reject. and to make it more entertaining, what kinda smuck puts a 360 2v intake and headers on this kinda motor.. while im ranting what kinda compression/horse power would this engine make with a proper intake/cam/carb setup.. maybe even dual quads.. sorry long winded I get excited.. plus I bought it as a $100 core.
