chilton's or Haynes?

Just a quick question...

Which do you prefer to work with, a Haynes or Chilton's manual?

I like Haynes due to the size, and I think it explains processes a little clearer (as clear as they can I think)...

anyways, just wanted to get some feedback..

Personally, I have the Haynes manual and I think it's a waste of money.

chilton's or Haynes?

I have to agree with WXboy. The newest Haynes is 93 - 00. If you have an 97 and older you may be OK. 1998 and up get your answers here or a factory manual. I have an 01 Ranger, Haynes mentions newer models thats about all.

chilton's or Haynes?

I have both. I prefer the Haynes (for 93-97 anyways) There are some times when the Chiltons comes in handy though.

They are not expensive. This is why I have both.

chilton's or Haynes?

I have to agree with the both good and bad concensus. I've gotten both for previous vehicles and so far for my ranger at least I've found a few omissions or errors in the Haynes manual.
