C6 Kickdown Cable or Rod?
I went through the HowTo's and FAQs and didn't see anything about it...
I realized my C6 on my SWB has no kickdown or anything corresponded to it. Since everything is missing related to this is it better to go Rod or Cable? Also what is the procedure and how to get the correct ratios? Thanks in advance for the help guys.

Since you don't have anything, get what you can that will fit your engine. You didn't say what engine you had.
This kickdown for the c6 is not critical like the AOD linkage is. It needs to be free during most of the throttle travel, and then be activated when the throttle is wide open.

Sorry have a 302, The floor of the truck is not insulated or even have carpet laid down. I feel the heat on my legs, is this normal? I was contemplating installing a Trans Temp Gauge to have a reading..

You MAY already know about the factory kick-down, JordanL91. In case you don't or need an idea about how to hook one up, here are a few pictures. I've got a picture on my other computer of where and how it attaches at the C-6.
and this one is from Luke76, a member here.
