kickdown cable and c6's

will i have any issues with my c6 if i disconnect the kick down linkage?

Shouldn't have any, other than it won't kick down anymore.

I don't run a kickdown on the C6 in my V8 ranger, and it works fine. I always manually downshift so I never even bothered.
