Anybody tried it yet? Looks like I'll be selling my bronco this summer and realizing the dream of fuel infection for my '77 Bruce. I plan on going with the FiTech setup. The plan is eventually for a 5-speed Tremec TKO trans swap but for now I need to make the C6 work. I'm thinking the Lokar cable setup should work for the kickdown linkage...anybody tried it with a throttle body?

 

In case you run into problems hooking up the kickdown, just know that you don't need the kickdown. Unlike some transmissions, the C6 only uses the kickdown linkage to drop the trans into passing gear. It doesn't use the linkage to adjust the line pressure, that's what the vacuum modulator does.
Personally, I would preffer to have it hooked up, but it's not critical to the trans operation.

 

bought a kick-down cable for a 300/C6 a while back; wound up extending the original linkage arm so the cable kit is not needed - if you want it, throw me a few bucks and shipping and it's yours. New in once0-opened package; contact me off-post and we can exchange pictures etc.

 

When we put GM TBI on my friends 77 f150 wheeling rig, we pulled the cable, lever and transmission bracket from a late 80s Ford trucks c6 with either a 302 or 351. Made a bracket for the intake and slipped the cable end over the **** on the TBI throttle arm. Works great.
