emergency....

Drop my key in lake houston while fishing need to know if I can start my truck without it..my tool box is unlocked so I have tools... gonna ve fishing til 5pm if anyone can help

damn, that sucks. If you dont have AAA, nows the time to call and sign up. You'll then can use your 1st tow without paying per mile

Dont think so, I believe it has a 48hr hold. Either way it a sucky position but I sure wouldnt go messing around trying to start it etc

AAA will also make you a key for $15...or at least they did for me

Guess yall are right.. didnt want to break anything to get it started and yes I do have another key but its locked up at home in a safe.. noone to go get... anyways thanks

Depending on tools and how much surgery you want to do to the column, I found this link on removing the cylinder: https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/9...th-no-key.html you should be able to use a flat screw driver then to start the truck and have steering. Good luck.

I no here in CA, so cal to be exact, they did so. Told my ex...of all people, and they were ontheir way once payment was received/cleared.

Really, because when I renewed, albiet late, they told me I had to wait 2 days before I could use service. Paid with cc. I can`t understand your post the way it`s written but I believe your saying it was on the spot?

I have found with AAA if you don't like the answers you are getting just keep hanging up and calling back until you get an answer you do like, different operators seem to have different rules/information.

I did the whole renew on the side of the road/call for a tow about seven years ago without issue......I was several months expired.

Good info Steve, I did not know that. Thankfully I havent had to call after I renewed. The plan I always have is 4 tows with 1 being a 200 miler, fwiw
