I have a 2003 6.0l and tow a 5th wheel. I am wondering if I should be using tow haul all the time I am towing.............

Use it if you like the way it operates with it on. Turn it off if you don't like it. You won't hurt the trans either way.

I typically use tow haul on hills going up or down. Loaded or unloaded etc... if you travel in town or have to frequently start and stop and stay under like 55mph tow haul can be very annoying. Nothing peaves me more than to be driving 40mph and having the truck wound up as if I was driving 95 since it dosent upshift the same with tow haul engauged.

When I am towing my race cars I use it. I like where it changes the gears when in tow haul. When I am not towing I like it off.

It seems to me to be a big asset when towing a load.

I use it pulling my 5th wheel and I can get over how nice it pulls. This is what keeps me in this truck. I love that transmission.
