The remote wire, usually blue, is to activate an accessory, such as a power antenna or an amp. Not needed to simply hook up a stereo.

Oh, you have an amp. You should have a remote terminal on the amp. Got a model number for amp?

Looked at several planet audio amps (they don't list a 200w amp on their site) and all of them had the remote terminal in between the 12v+ and ground terminal.

You don't connect it to the wiring harness (assuming that is what you're asking). You run a wire from the remote terminal on the amp to the remote wire on the head unit.

Ok, you should have a blue or blue/white wire coming from your pioneer head unit. You will run this to the remote spot on the amp. You need to extend this wire from head unit to amp. There are no factory wires for this. The wire should be labeled or id in manual for amp or power antenna or remote.

I'm sure neither one of these are your exact models but this is how they have to be connected

Good luck

If you don't have the blue wire coming from your head unit (you really should unless you cut it after you bought it), you can connect the remote terminal on the amp to anything that goes hot with the ignition. Be sure to not connect it to a constant 12v source as that will drain your battery.
