I have a 1986 F150 that I am wanting to do an auto to manual transmission swap. I have everything I need Im just trying to figure out how to do a clutch pedal. The transmission is out of a 96 and the engine is a 302. I have a pedal assembly from a 96 but it does not look like it is going to fit. Also there is no hole in the fire wall on my truck where the clutch master cylinder goes through. Im thinking I can either build my own custom assembly or find an aftermarket one to make work. I am capable of fabricating anything as I can weld and grind.
Just go to the junkyard and get a pedal assembly from a 86-down truck. It will bolt right in and work, no fabbing needed. If you look real close on the pass side of the brake booster area, you should see some dimples where the holes need to be drilled for the clutch master.
Thread revival: are the brake and clutch pedals one unit or seperate when timing them? I am adding this to my jy list for an April run. I think the Gary Lewis ZF swap is next for beast.
Derrick- did you grab the inspection cover, aka trans hump, when you got the transmission ?
I swapped the whole thing. Can you mix and match parts to make one, I am not sure. I think I remmeber the problem being the bushings for the clutch pedal don't exist in the auto assembly.

I did not pull the trans from a yard so I did not get the inspection cover. I was hoping to find one of those as well. Im on the hunt for a yard with the pedal assembly I need

I looked up a 86 ford 150 with a 4 speed 4x4 new process tranny in Texas. I figured if they had a 4 speed truck they might have the truck with the clutch pedals sitting around. This is what came up.
