A Ford Tractor Could Do It!
When considering a rolling project how do you guys moving them around? Brute strength? Tow rope attached to the family minivan for rolling up the slope? Wouldn't it be cool to have a little Ford tractor to do the towing? I wonder if anybody has tried even a riding lawnmower? Do any of those have the power? Maybe I could get a John Deere and put a Ford sticker on it.

I have a friend with a heavy duty riding lawn mower that will tow a car around a flat yard as long as the car rolls well.
My Oliver tractor will pull this setup up a steep hill: hook a 55 F100 to a flatbed car hauling trailer and load a 50 F-2 with 400 pounds of welded on bumpers onto the tailer.

I have to rely on brute strength. The driveway apron to my backyard is really steep, there is no pushing anything up it. For that I have a T post drove in the ground that I can hook a come-a-long too.
The driveway up into my garage also has a pretty good slope to it. For that I've managed by getting a running start and then sheer grunt work. I've been meaning to bolt a plate to the floor of my garage that could be used as an anchor point for a come-a-long, a winch, a chain pull, tubing bender, etc
Right now I have a 58 Massey Ferguson TO35 that I've been rebuilding, but I haven't pulled anything around with it yet.

Jafo, $2000 for an 8N? That is awesome, a great buy. Now you fit in with all those Lancaster County natives! Pretty soon you will have a PADutch accent! My Dad had a 48 8N he used on our farm. Great tractor.
