be headed home this weekend so be able to do a little tinkering with it again I have a week off so i'll see what I can do how efficient would a can style filter be for this truck? anyone tried one like off a skid steer? I think it'd let it pull more air but what do you guys think?
not really any problems left just timing and that's simple enough, just thinking about how well a different filter would work. i mean the foam and square air filter seems kind of dumb on this truck but that's just my opinion. i'm just too used to tractor motors i guess.
Tractors, skidsteers, etc.. operate in much dustier environments than most trucks do. Thats why they have different style filters.
The intake and filter design of these trucks isn't optimal, but for most people it does just fine. When you start upgrading things is when the extra airflow is really needed.
yes, and trucks going to get used in those same dusty environments. Dusty dirt roads, gravel pit runs etc. so I'm thinking a better filter design would be more appropriate to my uses for this truck. Rarely do I get a chance to drive on pavement. if I'm following someone on a dirt road i'll be sucking alot of dust and dirt. Don't want the truck to choke on it like I do haha
