I am putting my new clear headlights on and want to know what is the best way to aim them. I know that you can go to the garage and they can hook them up to a computer and aim them for you but that is money and time. I have also heard of doing it on a garage door or other flat surface where you measure it out and park the truck back fifteen feet. Is this way accurate or how have you guys done it? Thanks
I have done it that way for years. I know they do make "special" alignment tools but all they do is make the beam even with the other one and at the correct angle. I do it on level ground and with a flat wall or door. Also it is nice if you can draw on the wall where your original ones are then set the new ones up at the same place.
Casey; I put my new clear headlights no to much time ago, and a did what suggested above, and I did another thing, with the light on went in front of the truck and sit in a bench as if you were in another car in front of your truck and look if they bother your eyes (hope you understand what I mean) and if they do, change the aim, after that go to a street and see how it works, and if it needs more adjusment, do it, is taste and error. but is very simply, and carry a 4mm wrench with you some time and ajusted as desired after several tests.
good luck.
I changed mine out about 3-4 months ago with some ones off ebay. I was to find water in my new ones after it had been raining. So dont but the $80 ebay lights. I would go with OEMs if i did it again. Oh and it took me about 3-4 nights of driving around and aiming them differently before I got mine where they needed to be.

I hope I got different ones, but we did get them off eBay for $90, and they are made in Taiwan. They are on now and they look really good. I hope they hold out. I have kinda set myself up for disaster I removed my headlights before I started this post so now I am wing it on the headlight adjustments. I might just end up taking to someone with the machine to align them.
Does anybody else have to have the signal light off the truck to adjust the lights. I seem to need access to all the attachment points not just the one from up top. I guess that is cause mine are so far off.
Casey I had the same problem with mine. Cheap ones off ebay. No water yet but the adjusters are cheaper and they are all hard to get to anyway! Action4478 helped me with mine and was able to sneak in with a long flat screw driver to one adjuster. The hard part is getting the head lights lined up with the grill but also getting the beam adjusted! Mine still aren't perfect
Thanks TJ thats what I thought I turned mine on for the first time today and had to turn them right off cause I would have caused on coming traffic to wreck. I guess I will continue to play with mine too.

Mine also were made in Taiwan and bougth in eBay for the same price including the driving and the lateral lights (but I didnt install that ones, I like better the stock). But I change the atachment point in the internal part of the new one for the one in the old headlight, because the new one has to be adjusted from infront and with that change I can adjust from back so its easy like in the stock ones.
And maybe for the out and low atachment point you could try (I will) to sneak in with a long flat screw driver to that adjuster as Rick did it in the TJ headlights.

Any ideas on how to keep water out of them?
That was the reason that I put a seat in front of my truck to see if the lights dont bother the uncoming traffic.
And I havent have rain here and no washing the ligths yet, so I dont know about to how keep the water out of them if it was the case.
But I would go with OEMs if i did it again, like Foremanes said. You paid for what you get.
if everyone seems to be having troubles with the ones from ebay. where else can u find the smoked clear lights anywhere else? ive looked everywhere on the internet and ebay is the only place i can find the clear or smoked clear lights for our trucks.
