Hoses - Hydroboost
Need some advice. I am ready to purchase a hydroboost unit for my 1977 F-250. It is a camper special model, with a 400 and 4 Speed Manual.
I am looking at this unit:

My question is on hydraulic hoses. The hose kits that are with this unit are $265. That seems pricey. I believe there would be two pressure hoses (one from pump to hydroboost), and one from the hydroboost unit to the steering gear.
Anyone know if I could use any lines from a super duty or any other vehicle? I put a Saginaw pump on it from a 1977 LTD, don't know if that pressure line would work. I could try making my own lines I suppose, but dont know what fittings I would need.
Any thoughts on keeping the cost down would be useful.
