352 pushrods

I am rebuilding a 1966 352. While cleaning the pushrods I noticed all the rods on the right bank have a small (guessing less than a 1/16") machined surface that is about a 1/32" deep. What is this purpose? Its not a thru hole so not for oiling, right?

Then the left bank rods are a mix.

Number on the rod
215-4049 (1 rod with condition described on RH bank rods)
RP-3172 (6 rods with this number)
MPR-311 (1 rod with this number)

Any thoughts on all this?

Thanks for any feedback.

Where on the push rods is that machined place, and does it look like they rub on the manifold?

They have thru holes that's how rockers get oil. The different p/n is the length. This is how the valve lash is set. The divit is mfg choice.

Pushrods

The 352 motor does not oil through pushrods, oil comes up from under rocker bolts. Check that rods not rubbing manifold.
