Front passenger window decided to start acting up. Worked flawlessly since the truck was new until this last week. Rolled it down from the driver's side switch, then later went to roll it up and nothing. Go to the passenger's door switch and it goes up and down fine. Hmmmm, ok. Sounds like a bad driver's side switch or poor connection to that switch.
So the wife hits it before I had a chance to tell her. Now she can't get it up with either switch. Nothing works.
I come home and take the passenger's side door off. Disconnecting and reconnecting the passenger's side switch causes it to work again. Tried the same for the driver's side and still nothing.
Haven't traced the wiring yet, so I don't know the exact cause. Mainly reaching out to see if anyone has had a similar issue to make my troubleshooting go quicker.
Speaking of window problems, my Excursion drivers side window will go down fine until about 1/2 way then it gets real slow. Goes back up just fine in any location. Worried about using it when it's -10 tonight and getting stuck open. Motor assembly replacement, a little lube, or just wait till spring?

Silicone grease applied with q-tips in the tracks fixed the same problem on my truck. You have to pull the door panel though once it gets bad. It is a lot easier and less expensive than replacing a motor, which I had to do on my old X.

You can try taking them out and liberally spraying them with electronic spray cleaner and the vigorously operating them. Don't use carb or brake cleaner you'll end up with a handful of melted plastic. Spray the cleaner so it gets inside the switch. I have a couple that were cleaned over a year ago and still going.
If that doesn't work these switches actually come apart pretty easy. Be gentle or you'll break the tabs. Be careful as you open them or little parts will fall out. A q-tip and alcohol will clean up corrosion. This could get you going until replacements can be had, especially if window is stuck down.
same scenerio here, a few years back. Pulled p/s paneling off and saw that the wires were cut/freyed. Their "ran" from outside panel/in, so it was a matter of time for the window to finish them of. Re-connected, tucked them away/taped better to paneling of door...walah.
