hey guys I have a question. I am currently putting new heads on my 1997 F350 7.5L I am also putting aftermarket headers on it. but as I was taking off my old manifolds I notice a tube that looks like it was suppose to connect both manifolds together like for the EGR system or something. but the last owner cut them for some reason. I can not find this part anywhere prob. do to the fact I don't really know what this tube is or does. Any help would help thanks.
Also you realize you can't put aftermarket heads on and match the ports of the stock efi intake? They are in different positions on an efi vs carbs.

Aftermarket EFI heads will be fine as long as they are specified for an EFI intake. I slightly ported my F3TE's and decked the block a little, instead of spending the bucks on aftermarket heads.
If they do smog testing where you are from, I would suggest hooking those back up. If not, take the air pump and EGR off and everything going to and from them. Use stainless NPT plugs to block the ports on the back of the heads and a cap to block the EGR port on the upper intake.
