code p0300 truck running rough
I have a 1996 f150 4x4 with 5.8. I went to go help a friend the other day and when I started the truck the check engine light started flashing. I know that's not good so I shut it off. Plug my cheap code reader in and it gave me code p0300 and p0301pending. My code reader says something about mil-on and gives me codes of misfire, fuel, comp, catlyst, 02snsr, 02htr, egr. My truck will start but stalls in about 5 seconds. Need any advice possible

P0300 is random/multiple cylinder misfire.
P0301 is cylinder 1 misfire.
I would fix them before anything else. Check fuel pressure, spark, timing.
Then reset everything and see what else comes back, if anything.
If you want help with the other codes, post exactly what they are numerically instead of what the code reader thinks they are. Code reader databases have been known to be wrong as far as descriptions go.
