I really liked the Swamps 176 's but after getting that power, I wanted a little more so I called swamps and they would upsize for a little more, so I just pulled the 176 and ordered the 238's . They were nice. I finally got tunes that work good with them.

I haven't seen Barney around in a while I hope all is well with him. I know he had been through some tough times in the past few years.
So Chet if you talk to him please tell him I said Hi and God bless.

We have towed our 5th wheel from Oklahoma to Florida, the Smokey Mntns, the Rockies, South Dakota and south Texas. Plenty of power to keep speed and rpm's over 2K while climbing grades, and passing power is available when I need to get around slower traffic.

The one thing I would suggest is to read the Remans vs new thread which I believe you are. I am not against remans but you are better off if you can send in your set to get upgraded. Or at least talk to Jim at Rosewood about your options.

As always I would suggest a regulated return and the Hutch mod. These will remove the air out of the system along with removing the dead head setup and feeding #8 inj the same amount of fuel under load.

I have experience with Swamps and Jim at Rosewood - A+ folks in my book.

After 8 years with this setup I am planning a turbo upgrade, I want to give her more air and see how a S300, S400 or Bell BASB turbo helps.
Testimonials like this is what I take into consideration when I do end up pulling the trigger on new sticks. I have been following the "Remans vs New" thread and there is alot of back and forth. But new seems the way to go if you have the money to go that route. But there is alot good things being said about the Swamps & Rosewood customer service. Actually I have only heard of one case of someone getting problem injectors from Swamps. I like how Swamps stands behind their rebuild longer then the rest of the rebuilders. If I go that route I'm going to send in my AB's in and have them built to the 176's since I trust my cores. I do believe there is some truth to it being junk cores being the root of the problem with remans.

The T4 set up with a S366 is on my wish list if I can ever afford it. It sounds like you plan on going huge if you are thinking a S400 or BASB.
What are looking to break into the 500hp + range?

Eddie it is always nice to hear another testimonial like your's about Swamps and the 176's. I also meant to ask since you sold your truck what are you driving these days?
Well it is good to see you are still around
