Door Check Replacement
Anyone have experience changing the drivers side DOOR CHECK? I'm wondering how to access it? I'm not sure if I can get behind the fender from inside. Thanks in advance

I looked in my 2007 Navigator service manual and could not find how to remove the door check. Not even how to remove the door. Plenty of other stuff though.
Looks to me like you can access the front door check by removing the interior trim panel. Also you may have to remove the door panel.

Happy to report I finally got around to changing the door check today. After removing the emergency brake mechanism there is a little cutout that you use to access and change out the door check. Not a bad job.
