So I want to get the equipment to re-time my injector pump, but despite alot of reading I am having alot of trouble determining what exactly I need to get. From everything I've read it seems that the generally accepted best method of timing is to use a quartz crystal on the injector line of the #1 cylinder which is then observed with a fairly generic, mid to high end, timing light (the Ferret ones seem to have alot of preference) for this purpose. From what I have read this seems to be the preferred method over the luminosity method for both ease and accuracy of results.
So the question I keep hitting is, where do I get the quartz crystal/adapter/device to attach to the hardline? All the stuff I have read with specific parts or links are a few years old and don't really seem to work.
