Howdy folks,
Looking for some pricing opinions, as I will be selling my truck soon, but am not really sure what is a reasonable asking price.
It is a 1990 f250 4x4 xlt lariat, 7.3idi with almost 200k on it, auto trans. Everything works well. I use this truck as a spare work truck, so it doesn't see a lot of miles, hence the reason for the sale. Truck got a new rear end right after I bought it four years ago. In the last two months this truck has received: all new motorcraft glow plugs, new fuel return kit and engine compartment fuel lines, new rear wheel cylinders, new starter (spins up really well!), new EEC relay, water pump, and probably some other things I am forgetting.
Truck has newish (maybe 1000k) tires, is straight, warn hubs, and drives well. Interior is ok, and the clear coat is coming off the hood and roof. Truck is not pristine, not a show truck, but looks decent.
You really can't go with forum price advise as price varies wildly with the region. For example, pretty nice IDI trucks go for $1,200 to $2,500 in my neck of the woods. However on the east side of the country some pretty rusted out hulks that are only scrap value here go for $4,000.
Research your local ads, find a price range you're comfortable selling your truck for and go for it.
