Bed is dated
I have a 63 F100 I picked up in November 2012. Had it in my hands for only two months when I unexpectedly found out the cancer tried to kill me. Two years remission this week, and my truck was delivered to my "new" house out in Jersey. It was in WA the whole time while I was getting better and got transferred.
Anyway, two plus years ago, the paint was in better shape. Two plus years of sun, rain, snow beating on it made a few things show thru now. This being one of them.
It's a painted tag on the wheel well of the driver side wrong bed. All I can make out is 12/11/62. There are a few other things but not sure yet. It was 20* tonight when we cold started the truck and drove it off the car carrier. My hands were frozen by the time I got it in the garage and saw this and so,e damage the transport did to it.
Anyway, this truck was built in San jose in early 1963. (As deciphered by Numbers Dummy a few years ago).
