but then again now that i just watched it again, so does the silverado they can barely keep it on the course.

I remember at the press event when they showed that for the first time. When the Tundra was shown there were many "ohhhhh" remarks... followed by laughter. I never saw a truck bed move like jello before!

Isn't that the toyota with the 'new' three piece frame? It starts out as a full box, then a reinforced 'c' channel, then under the bed is a plain old 'c' channel. I've often wondered if this 'technology' doesn't amplify the bed shaking effect. You have a relatively stable platform under the engine and cab and a pretty floppy frame under the bed. That would seem to hold the cab stable and let the bed flop wildly just like seen in the video. Maybe if they switch back to a uniform frame, the truck could at least move as one unit and the relative difference between the bed and cab wouldn't be so much.
