I switched from the water separator to the Racor filter - the Racor rocks.

One other note, with Fuel Pressure gauge reading low and the transparent housing, I had my symptoms and a visible means of verifying I had air in my fuel. This alone paid for about 10 of these Racors - because air-in-fuel is Hell-on-Earth for injectors.
