Question Burglar alarm goes off.

I have a 1997 F-150, 4wd, 5.4 ltr sitting in my yard unlocked and the key is in my house on the key board. At just any time the intermittent horn burglar alarm goes off. I can stop it with the key but sometime between then and the next 24 hours, it will alarm again. To keep it from happening I had to take the battery cable off because the last time was at 3:15AM. Anyone had this before or know what could be causing this. Thanks.

Thanks Guys for your response.
It is a 2 month old battery.

The alarm is the alarm that came with the truck when I bought it new.

Once again thanks.

Pull the batteries out of any remote that is within range and see if that helps. I assume your remote has a panic button on it?
