Anybody having a problem with their side view mirrors? Mine seem to go wild when shifting from reverse to drive and when I unlock the doors with key fob.
i have noticed that my passenger side mirror moves. i have the eb edition so i have the reverse mirror tilt. so when i shift from reverse to drive or park sometimes the mirror moves out and i have to push my memory button in order to get it back. have not noticed anything when i unlock the car. do u have the keyless entry of a security system??
I also have the EB and keyless entry with security. Just seems as they never stay where they are supost to be. The reverse is the biggest problem I have.
again with the tsb what is that??? do they fix it for free?? is it a recall??? how do i find out if there are any for my vehicle i dont understand because i hear a whining sound from the drivers side front end and i hear that there was a tsb for that too how do i find out?? do i call ford??? goto the dealership?? can someone please help me
Ok I'll get off my lazy a$$ and look up my work order...
Front axle TSB was #03-06-04
The mirror popping didn't list the TSB but the part number is 2L1Z 14C708 BB
You really don't need to know the TSB number. That's the dealer's job to find it and fix it for you. It's WARRANTY for them so it's Ford paid work for them ($$$$ incentive) and it'll keep you a happy customer.
Good luck.
Btw unless you have a subscription to Alldata or some type of that service, you have no access to TSBs (intended for techs). That's what we're here for!
Okay found the mirror info on another piece of my expy info...
SSM# 16675 for popping mirror
Again, any "competent" dealer should have absolutely no problems finding all this info themselves. Chances are they've already done these repairs for other expy owners as these TSBs are not new.
Had mine fixed about 2 weeks after purchase. I didn't have the popping problem, but the passenger side went "nuts" driving down the highway, always trying to readjust itself. The reverse function stopped working as well.
They replaced the passenger side mirror, did a software patch and everything works great now, including the reverse function and return to proper setting when you hit unlock on the key fob.
