Okay, I've run checks everywhere. Not getting enough at the connection point. Took everything apart, getting 11.95 out the back of the controller, but at the backwires ( where it hooks up to the umbilical) the connection is only getting about .85 v at best. Where do I check between controller and plug?

Under the truck rear bumper there should be a pig tail where the factory plug connects into. Check those connections.

It's also VERY important to take your voltage readings by connecting to the ground pin in the connector, then referencing the brake pin. The ground in the connector is the only ground that the trailer can be counted on seeing...

Both comments on the money. The factory ground in the seven pin on the truck is a low point for moisture and often rusts near off. Check onthe backside of your seven pin under the truck and you likely will find the villain.

Thanks to everyone you were a big help. The problem was in the connector. Found the offending area and got it fixed.
