Ebp sensor

I put the gauges in for map ,baro, and ebp. At key on they were all around 14 p.s.i . At idle the ebp went up to 20 and map and baro stayed close to 14. I took the sensor off and cleaned the tube no change. Is there any way to check this sensor with a electrical meter, I replaced one about a year ago and this time there didn't seem to be much for soot in the tube. Any ideas?

Should be less than 16 psi at idle.

Several possibilities

1. Bad sensor. Doesn't seem to be the case since it isn't that old and reads OK w/ KOEO. Never know though. There are electrical tests in the WSM IIRC. Maybe someone can track them down for you.

2. Gauge system isn't reading it correctly. Again, doesn't seem likely w/ KOEO reading being good, but again "Who knows".

3. Plugged tube. You said you addressed this though. DId you run anything down the tube to make sure it was open?

4. Stuck turbo. Doesn't sound like this is your issue since you didn't report any engine operating or starting issues, but it is possible as mentioned above. Have you experienced any such issues?

5. Plugging CAT. You can test this by running it w/ the downpipe disconnected. Do you see much smoke? Recently had injector issues? Run any bad fuel lately? A Plugged cat will cause low power issues.

What gauge system are you using?

Test for plugged Cat observing the APP Voltage compared to MAF voltage during acceleration.

Everything after the exhaust port in the head causes back pressure. I would disconnect everything after your down pipe (muff and cat) and see if psi changes. Way easier than tearin into your turbo
