I saw a picture of a truck next to a Voltage TH. I should have stopped right then and did a PM. But I didn't ,and I have been going back to try and find him, to no avail.
I bought a used Toy H and have some questions about it. One is there are two fuel tanks one for the generator and one for the pump station. Which is which. What oil filter do I use for the Onan gen? (gas model)
If you have one pm me or we can just discuss here. I'm sure I have a few more questions I'll think of later. Thanks !

As to the filter, I get my Onan 5500 filters from Amazon.
10-4 on the oil filter, I have looked at the manual and I couldn't find what kind of filter it toke. I just got the 5er a couple months ago and it's two years old. He said he hadn't changed the oil in the thing, yikes. I keep working the generator so it will work when its needed. Thanks a lot I'm going to order a couple as soon as I am done with this word.
Glad I could help. I saw a couple other Onan filters on Amazon, but that's the one that was the correct number for my Onan 5500. Oh, and the best oil you can use in it is the same I run in my truck. Shell Rotella 5w-40 T6. It's a broader range than any weights listed in the Onan manual and works great in mine.
Thanks for the link, I think. Spent hours on that site last night. And will probably spent several more hours on it this evening. It's hard spitting up my time on all this forums.

I think you have he set as most TT have. There's just one fuel tank but the outlet for refueling is up a bit on the side of the tank to not allow it to empty completely.
The generator output fuel line is at the lowest point to allow the generator to still run with x amount of gallons left in the tank, even after pulling out the max amount of fuel for refueling toys.

That's how they used to be. My 2013 was that way. Most newer ones come with two tanks and two fills. One is genset only and the other is for the fueling station. That's how my new one is. This used to be an option over the single tank units but many newer ones are incorporating it as a standard.

Interesting. You'd think the additional cost to provide 2 separate tanks, wouldn't be economical or add much, bang for the buck?
Thx.

Prob not. It was an option on my last rig and I didn't order it. To me, it's just more fuel to stabilize in the winter. It was a standard on my new one so OK, I'll take it...
I've never used the pump station on any of my haulers. I like fresh fuel in all my toys.
I use it exclusively which means it's always fresh. I also use it as a fuel caddy when I'm home to fuel the the lawn tractor and other home equipment all year long. I haven't had to drag a fuel can to the gas station in years.
