2011 f150 clockspring

I've rebuilt a wrecked truck, purchased the airbag out of a junkyard and the clockspring is the wrong one. The plugs are different. Is this a part that has to be replaced?

The clock spring may also depend on steering wheel features (Though I could be wrong with the newer Ford vehicles but in the past I know it to be true and I also know that GM has to change clock springs to add steering wheel button features). If you got the clock spring from a truck with no steering wheel buttons, but you need it for a truck with buttons, it may be wrong.

I can't find a clock spring part number comparison at the moment as my internet is running dog slow... But if brighthouse gets their act together I'll see what I can find!

Yes the clock spring needs to be replaced after an air bag deployment. And jchargu3 is correct with his info about the clock spring and steering wheel controls. Your best option is to go to your local dealer with your trucks vin number in hand and order a new one.

There are two different plugs used 09-10 has a smaller plug and the 2010+ has a bigger one. I found this out because I bought a new steering wheel and it didn't work.
