Generally the F-Series and E-Series steering columns are almost identical assuming the model years are close, one or two at most either way. Any Vehicle Speed Control switches that might be on a "new" steering wheel require chassis wiring and the proper clock spring in order for those to work.
Keeping in mind the air bag and horn controls are affected by the clock spring this becomes even more important.
Long story short I'm not sure which other Ford stock steering wheels can be swapped out and still work properly with the chassis wiring.
Its too bad we don't have access to a "where used" search command that could show were a particular clock spring was used as that might be helpful. Then again because Ford tends to have vehicle & year specific part numbers it might not be that helpful.
is somewhere in the internet a "technical info"-page existing, that tells the FORD-owner for example the technical data of the steering column ?
