Steering box

Broke down and finally bought the new steering box for my 06, how hard is it to swap out? I've got this weekend to do it and need to have my truck by Monday is it doable?

Totally doable, shouldn't even take you a whole day. The biggest challenge will be getting the old pitman arm off.

Borrow one for free, security deposit refundable, at Auto Zone or O'Reillys. Don't buy one at Harbor Freight. Had two of them bust while using them on the first Pitman arm. Harbor is great for certain things. Buyer beware.

A buddy of mine has a duramax and we just did one on his a couple weeks ago, he bought a pitman arm puller but the truck had been in a limestone mine most it's life so it was caked with lime and rust, we ended up just getting a new pitman arm and saved the trouble lol
