7.3 noises
I have for the past few months been the proud owner of an '02/f250/cc/short bed 7.3l. I have spent the past few years looking for a clean 7.3; I came across this one all stock except for a super chips 25+hp chip, 4" exhaust and some bilstein shocks.
So far she has only needed some new sway bar end links (which it is possible to get just the bushings for instead of buying the whole new end links) and now there is a noise coming from somewhere in the front end that I have not been able to identify. It sounds almost like going over a rumble strip when I hit a bump (sometimes) and it appears to be coming from the front left but can be felt throughout the whole cab. The noise and vibration will sometimes be very brief and other times resonate and maintain until I slow down almost to a stop, the noise will also start anywhere from 15-20mph to 45-50mph.
So far we have speculated that it is an issue with the front manual locking hubs, which I took apart and cleaned and re-greased, also that it could be a needle or wheel bearing and maybe even a suspension issue. I would appreciate any thoughts or direction thank you.
