I know that there are a couple of threads on here about this. Everything in my front end is SOLID. I replaced the sway bar links and bushings. Still the noise. I do not have carpet in the truck (have the plastic floors). So I was thinking of tearing that up and checking the cab mount bolts. The sound is a very loud clunking over bumps. And there is also another noise, its a slight squeak in the front end. If I am reading correctly this could be the plastic pieces between the springs. Any other things that I should be checking since it will be on a lift at my work?
I got the same damn problem- I'm not complaining about the trucks ride, otherwise I woulda bought a car. But EVERY little bump is accented and felt through the floorboard. I actually have a little vibration from my harmonic balancer going out (changing today) but I would love to stop the bump issue.

I have the exact same problem. bumping noise in the floorboard going over bumps. replaced the ball joints, repacked the bearings in the wheel hubs and hub locks, new spring shackle brackets and I still have the same noise. Has anyone found out what the noise is?
2001 PSD 4 wheel drive. I really sounds like a front component. I just can't nail it down. I read in another post to check the sway bar link. I'll check that and also the cab mount bolts. I saw that in another post too. I'll check those and let you know.
Thanks
Krewrat- how do you go about checking the cab mounts- do I just take a torque wrench to them and try to re-tighten to specs? If that doesn't work, do yo know who sells mount bushings?
