Franklin: that got me a little closer to the general area. Thanks for the help.
It was driving me crazy though because the flasher on my van is not where the manual, internet, or that picture say it should be, and the wires going into it don't match the colors in the wire diagram. But whatever, problem solved problem staying solved.
