Question `06 Milan, Left Front Turn Signal Not Working

I have an `06 Milan with 108,000 miles on it so it's a tad out of warranty. I just noticed that the left front turn signal isn't working. The bulb is fine but it's not flashing when it's supposed to. The right side works fine and the left rear is fine. Also the left rear doesn't flash fast to indicate there's a bulb problem and the system check doesn't show a problem either. Any ideas?

how do you know the bulb is ok? I have found the newer bulbs are hard to phisically look at and tell they are bad, or maybe my eyesight has gotten worse.

I tested the continuity of the filaments and also swapped the bulb from the right side.

Any chance you can track down a wiring diagram for the vehicle? The older cars and trucks are so simple - a single flasher is routed to either side by the turn signal switch. Most times the problem is a bad ground at the socket itself; the other times the turn signal switch is bad. With something that new, I don't even know if it uses a flasher or if it's computer controlled. Do the hazards on that side work? If so, you could eliminate the socket and focus on the turn signal switch. Without a wiring diagram, it's hard to know what else to troubleshoot.

Are you getting power to the bulb when the turn signal is on?

No not the turn signal. The parking and side marker lamps work just fine though.

You need to put it on an OBD2 scanner that is CAN enabled and that can, preferably, read live data, although I would think there is a trouble code stored.

Seriously, get the codes read. That should tell you which ECM is bad.

I'm thinking it could be the multi function as well. Get the codes read, that should pinpoint the problem.
