pipe on my headers ?
on my old headers there was a pipe it came up from the headers and went to some kina modual that was bolted to the passenger side of the throddle body. i did not put the pipe on my new headers. should i take the wires off this modual ? and whats it for .i hope i didnt hurt any thing ...hope to get so answers.thanks..also the county im in has no emisions inspections... thanks

That pipe went to your EGR valve. If you want your computer to operate properly, you should hook it up with the new set as well. Does the new set of headers have a provision for EGR?

The egr system recirculates exhaust into the intake to cool the combustion chamber. if you could totally defeat the system then your motor would be fine. BUT this is not easy.. The computer verifies that the EGR is working by checking the exhaust o2 content with the oxygen sensor. I belive if you just didn't connect it the computer will go to closed loop (safety) mode and richen the mixture and retard the timing. (which in turn causes catalytic converter to be plugged etc etc.)
I suggest welding on pipe(s) to connect the egr system.

BTW. are the hookers full length headers? where did the collectors end up in relation to the x-member? (over\under how much ahead?)
