2015 BS thread. Bring it!
So I am going Sunday to see that Arctic Fox camper.
It's currently on a truck.
Both are for sale, separately or together.
No interest in the truck at all, its a cheby so I could never afford the repairs.
This is something I would never though would happen around this area. It really hits home when it's literally in your back yard.

Just so happens I am taking some NRA Certified advanced self-defense live fire courses. I am going to start carrying a concealed weapon all the time. It is the only way to stop such senseless crap.
Our friend, who was in the middle of it, was locked down in the Admin offices when we were first talking to her on the phone. She is doing much better today after having gotten some rest and had some time to decompress. It really has brought some PTSD issues up for her though as we just passed the anniversary of when her husband was killed and she was critically wounded in our elk hunting camp in Aug 2003.
Have to go put a 2nd coat of paint on the wall. The way the first one covered, I may need to put 3 coats on.....Have got the shelf brackets for the entertainment center drilled and installed while waiting for the first coat of paint on the wall and trim to dry. Still have a cabinet to build and the shelve for the entertainment center to be cut and painted. I've got room, I may put an additional shelf in there.

Looks like someone is trying to outdo the local Tribes. Out "on the Res" the other day, they called out the state police bomb squad and all sorts of stuff to handle a suspicious package that arrived at the tribal headquarters......turned out to be a part for a water pump that the Tribal Public Works Dept. had ordered.

Just for grins, kicks and giggles, I looked at 2 brand new Artic Foxes a couple of weeks ago. (Only because there was an RV show going on at a place I happened to be at on other business anyway.) One without an Expando was $35K. The one with the Expando was $37.5K. If it came down to that...we'll be back in a tent in a heartbeat!
One thing to bear in mind when unloading "off pavement" or where you may run into hot or "soft" asphalt: It helps tremendously to have a 12X12 or larger pad to put the jack feet on. In home storage I use concrete pavers and "on the road" I use Lynx Levelers. Lynx Levelers | Tri Lynx Corporation
Wouldn't be unloading it at a campground as I have no reason to.
I rarely even unhooked my tt when camping unless it was too long for the campsite so i had to.
I don't understand why people often unhook to just have to hook it all back up when leaving. In the several years of using my tt i unhooked it twice while out camping and both times was due to length issues.
Had it not been too big for the short spot it would have stayed connected.

When not at home, I only take the camper off for 2 or 3 reasons.
- we have to be staying someplace for 3 or more days and may want to have a vehicle available without the encumbrances of the pickup loaded with the camper. On a local trips (100 miles or less), my wife drives a car along in convoy (road and area access permitting) so taking the camper off isn't needed. There are a few spots we go, such as hunting or remote mountain lakes where a car can't go.
- The boat ramp is too steep, or the turn around - getting squared up is too short - sometimes not hard to find when you have 23' of boat and 27 to 28' overall length with trailer & motors sticking out behind you.
- We get someplace we may only be staying for a couple of days, but we plan on doing a lot of local traveling - sight seeing. Examples would be in, on or near a National Park or Historical Area - sites.
Weather was great again today, but we could use some moisture.
Enjoy the weekend.

I generally don't travel from my campsite further than i can walk comfortably.
But will be starting to take along my yamaha wr250r to ride when i do want to get around.
Went to a wedding and still had time to get a few things done in the shop....getting ready for that new engine in a couple of weeks.
