Good morning John. I've only had problems with a cruise control twice. Once it was the switch for on-off-set-resume and the other it was a diaphragm in a box under the hood. Had to have the shop repair it both times. Good Luck!

Morning Jim, John, Roy! John, I've had the alternative, where it would shut off! Happened a long time ago, in my dad's 75 Mercury wagon. Had to put in neutral and shut it off. That 460 roared like crazy when I took it out of gear!
This cruise control is an aftermarket unit from Dakota Digital, we went through the diagnostic protocols and verified that everything is hooked up right and now working with the technicians to figure out why it's not working which is a pain because I don't have a cell phone and have to wait to get hold of them each time I come back from testing it to find that it didn't work again.
